There is nothing in Toronto for Punjabi sweets that even comes close to this place.

It was the cleanest, freshest display and massive variety of Punjabi sweets.  Huge variety of barfis (different types), jalebis, laddoos, gulab jamans...

    Not diet food obviously ...

Owned and operated by a Punjabi family, the entire family including the elder members of the family participate.  Big huge boxes of these exquisite delights being purchased by a never ending stream of customers.  There is a sign in the store asking people to be patient.

The best Punjabi sweets place I have ever been to in my entire life. There are no words to describe how good their sweets are here.

Polite, welcoming family and nice to all their customers.

Good vegetarian samosas, pakora and chutney.

Very busy with lots of locals getting take out hot food orders of samosas and pakora.  Call ahead works best.

The store is clean, the cases of sweets well presented.

The samosa are baseball sized, and they come with a delicious sweet chutney.  The samosa have a different colour filling and slightly different taste then I prefer, do although it's not my favourite place around - it's good.  Our order to go was cooked to order and ready in about 5-10 minutes.  The samosa are crispy and nicely spiced.  The pakora were also very good, if a little salty.

Best sweet shop in Abbotsford that I have been in compared to the other ones out there. It's nestled away in a busy strip mall so be cautious of traffic driving about. Super Punjab Sweets is clean, doesn't smell like frying, and there isn't a 11 year old girl running the cash register. The take out boxes are neatly stacked and not towering over waiting to fall onto customers and inside isn't littered with basement suite postings and car for sale signs on the front of the door.

The food is exactly the same opinion as my brother's review and it's always consistent every time we go. A nice touch is the take out box is lined with plastic in the middle so it doesn't leak through the box.

FYI for faster service bring cash

What happens when Punjab Sweet House eats a giant mushroom? It becomes SUPER Punjab Sweet House! Mario jokes aside, this place is alright. After eating mediocre samosas at other Abbotsford sweet shops I rolled the dice and did a google search.

Let's be honest. Most sweet shops are dumps and have signage written on plain computer paper with a sharpie. Perhaps the "super" feature of this place is no signage at all inside. The tour includes the service counter which is very clean and modern looking. To the right is stack of take-out boxes, hundreds of them. To the left is a folding table and some chairs for waiting. I scanned the walls looking for the take out menu......regular menu.......ANY MENU????? nothing in site. I approached the lady at the counter and asked her for a take-out menu. here's how it went down

Me: Hi, can I have a menu

    Lady:"We don't have menu"

    (crickets chirp tumble-weed rolls byt

    Me: Excuse me?

    Lady: We only make samosa

Me: Great! That's what we came here for. Do you also make pakora?

    Lady: Yes, Veggie, and paneer.

Yes, that really was the conversation. That being said. The lady was very nice. She then explained that they primarily make sweets. Being in the mood for grease I passed on the sugary treats in the display case. I really like that all the food is behind glass. Very clean glass. Many other sweet chops leave food on the counter uncovered.

When trying a new shop I like to order a few things so today was 6 veggie samosas, and one pound each of veggie and paneer pakora. For all this food it was about $14. $6 for the paneer. $5 for veggie. 60 cents per samosa. All of this was ready in 10 minutes! This speed must be in part to them specializing in a small number of items. They keep it simple and crank it out fast.

The samosas are great seasoned skin. Basic potatoes and peas inside. Mildly spiced. Served with a red chutney. The veggie pakora is done in smaller crispy pieces here. I love it. Crispy little fried nuggets of spinach, cauliflower , and onions.  The Paneer pakora looks different here. They resemble giant Chinese chicken balls. Inside you'll find two pieces of paneer (cheese in case you didn't know) sandwiching some spices and what may be minced spinach. Both varieties are served with a green chutney which tastes a little bit like sweet pickle relish.

I really enjoyed the food from Super Punjab Sweet House. I think you will too.
